Yiwei Zhang graduated from Peking University with a B.S. in chemistry. He joined
PRISMS as a chemistry teacher. His aspiration of becoming a teacher raised even while
he was still studying at the Beijing No.4 High School (BHSF). He immediately began
coaching his junior schoolmates, younger Chemistry Olympiad players right after he
graduated from high school.
In his nearly 7 years of experience, Zhang concentrated on designing appropriate course
systems to demonstrate complex and challenging chemistry topics to his students. Zhang
believes that the mission of a teacher is to build a series of well-designed beacons and to
guide students sailing across the misty sea of knowledge. In the teaching process, Zhang
enjoys communicating deeply with each student, understanding and energizing their
interest in learning, and helping them improve their knowledge weakness.
